Lately I have been on a podcast kick. On second thought, I’ve been on a personal development and podcast kick lately. My favorites resources have been TheBlogMillionaire podcast, The Charged Life(podcast) with Brendon Burchard, and High Performance Academy, also with Brendon Burchard. I’ve been learning about blogging, productivity, and the self-care methodologies of high performers.
(I’m not an affiliate with any of the three programs I meantioned by the way.)
The common themes I keep hearing in all three is “Be present”, “Get in front of your audience”, “Share your message”, “Be authentic.”
Do you get the picture? Expressing yourself, on a regular basis, in a way which is true to you and your personality is vital when it comes to building rapport and selling products/services to your audience.
Something really got to me though…
I don’t have time to write 2500 blog articles every week as recommended by Brandon Gaille, host of The Blog Millionaire. If I’m being completely serious you’ll see that this is my first article in about three weeks!
I couldn’t think of a topic for which I could come up with 2500 words of content for.
Then it hit me.
Seth Godin doesn’t always write massive articles! Some days his articles are only a paragraph long! And to be completely honest, these are the articles I LOVE! They’re short and sweet, don’t take up a ton of my time, give me something to think about, and allow me to keep on with my day in less than a couple minutes.
But he’s getting in front of his audience through blogging on a daily basis, either by way of the article itself or the newsletter he sends once the article has been published.
Blogging – Write what feels right to YOU!
Remember, it’s your voice and authenticity that matter the most, NOT the length of your article. Yes, Google likes longer articles better, but as I used to tell my little league players, something is better than nothing! When it comes to blogging – write what feels right to YOU!
What’s stopping you from blogging regularly?
