Episode Transcription

Kim Sutton I think it would be fair to say that most of us probably have encountered somebody in our lives or have somebody in our life right now who could really use an attitude adjustment. And the purpose of today’s episode is to ask you, are you the one in need of an attitude adjustment? I’ve experienced more than a few people in my life who woke up constantly on the wrong side of the bed. There have been co-workers and family members, college roommates, and even classmates who just constantly seem to be in a bad mood. I have to admit that I was often one of those people. Because until 2009, I didn’t realize that I had the ability to control my attitude and to control my thought processes. I didn’t realize that I had the ability to make myself happy. And I was relying on the rest of the world to do something to make me so. Well, let me tell you, it’s not their responsibility, it’s yours. If you’re having a crappy day, I want you to stop, breathe, and consider all the wonderful things that you have in your life. Take a deep breath again, and smile to yourself. Take another deep breath and think about everything that you have to be grateful for. Think about the people who are blessing your life, the material possessions in your life, and the successes that you’ve had up until now, and smile again. Now take one last deep breath and commit to an attitude adjustment so that you can go out and bless the world with a positive attitude. Nobody needs to be taken down by your grumpy face and you’re huffing and puffing. So do something about it. Commit to making the day a better day for you and for all the people around you by adjusting your attitude. Now with all that said, go forth and make it a positive and productive day.
