Kim Sutton Welcome back to another episode of positive productivity. If you’re just joining us for your first episode, I want to welcome you. But even if you are joining me again, I want to remind you all that the three pillars of positive productivity, our self care systems and support. And today, I am so excited to share one of the latest projects that I’ve been working on for my business in the way of systems and support, which is feeding into self care and this is my Facebook Messenger bots. If you’re not familiar, there are tools out there like get bot.ai, and many chat, which allow you to set up campaigns using their tools, which will respond to visitors to your Facebook business page. When they click the Send Message button. And I want you to have fun playing with it. Go through, push all the buttons. And by all means if it seems to get stuck somewhere, please just let me know, hey, I’m stuck. Because, as I’ve said many times on the podcast before and I will continue to say many times in the future. Positive productivity is not about perfection. I built this bar out using many chat, and I did it myself over the course of a few nights. No, I want you to know that I did not stay up all night. Unfortunately, I’m getting a cold, which is why am I voice might sound sort of hoarse. But I’m so excited to share this with you that I couldn’t wait. There are so many ways that you can be using a Facebook Messenger bot in your business that can increase engagement with your followers, increase revenue by selling your products, increase podcast downloads, which I will confess I am trying to do, and so much more. And the best part is, is that I don’t need to be at my computer or on my phone in order to carry out conversations with people. To be totally honest, what I’ve built out, probably wouldn’t even occur to me to say in a live conversation. While I love having live conversations, and the tool that I’m using many chat does allow for conversations to be taken into a live chat room, I don’t have time to be having as many conversations as I might like. So what this bot is doing for me is taking people through my funnel, whether it’s going to the podcast, or going to the different options in which a person can work with me, or even telling people how they can apply to be a guest on the podcast, my bot covers it all. Now, if you’re curious what I’m really talking about why I already did give you the link, I want you to know that it’s so much better when viewed on your smartphone than it is when you’re viewing from your desktop or your laptop. The reason why is because there’s a menu option at the bottom where you can click and see even more options or more routes that you can take through the bot. Now here’s the biggest reason why you should consider using a Facebook Messenger bot in your business, email sent through an email marketing system like MailChimp, Constant Contact Infusionsoft, etc. typically have anywhere between a 15 to a 30% open rate. I am usually pretty happy. Okay, I’ll be honest, I’m usually really happy if I see somewhere between 25 and 30. But lately around 20% has been typical. Now, from those opens, a good click through rate is typically one to 3%. Both many chat and bad bots offer free training courses which give this specific numbers but I’m so excited that I didn’t want to go get them right now I just want to give you the general idea.

An open rate for a message sent through messenger however, has an 85% open rate and the click through rating is also much higher. If you’re not familiar with what click through rating means, suppose that you’re sending an email out to your list and you include a link that you would like them to click on, when they click on it, that is contributing to your click through rating. So imagine if your click through rating could go from 2% up to 10%. That would be huge. I know it’s not quadrupling, I don’t know if it’s called quintupling. Am I making up words here, but just imagine if you quintupled five times, whatever, you get my point, five times your click through rating, and were able to even just double the sales of any of your products just by doing that. For most business owners, I know that would be huge. Now my favorite feature in my bot is the ability to show some of the most recent episodes in basically a carousel. So right when somebody enters my bot, I asked them if they’re a subscriber, and regardless of whether they say yes or no, they can eventually get on a path, which provides them the option of listening to recent episodes. If they say yes, then the next box that appears, is the carousel of the most recent 15 to 20 episodes, the newest one will always be at the front. Although I have to admit that part is what I’m struggling with right now because keeping up with that, along with everything else that I do, is a little bit much. Eventually I’ll have a team member helping me out with it, but I really wanted to nail it down first. Think about all the ways that you could use this in your business. Perhaps you have tons of blog articles across numerous sites, wholefoods uses it to give recipes, and there’s so many more options. And on each card for each separate episode, I give people the option of listening, sharing or subscribing to my podcast. Now, here’s my last favorite part. And then I’m going to let you go for today. I love that both of these tools allow me to put a plug in on my website, so that instead of having to use a whole separate tool and set up on my site, I can use many chat to have a pop up on my site that takes people directly into the same messenger bot and communication method. As I already mentioned, there are ways that people will be taken into a live conversation with me. So that opportunity is always there. But now I don’t need to buy two different tools to do it. And I can set up the system once and have it used in multiple places.
